I need inspiration. Ever since NaNoWriMo stopped, I've been in a mire of laziness, when it comes to writing. Maybe it's more of just taking a break. Anyways, all I've been doing lately besides the everyday chores and duties is practicing pool. I'm getting to be quite the pool shark. :D We have this new pool table, you see, and I'm determined to get good at it.
What else has been happening lately? Well, my family and a bunch of my friends put together a surprise birthday party for me yesterday. It was so sweet! I've always wanted a surprise birthday party, but that's not exactly something you can ask for, you know? Anyway, it was really nice. And I WAS surprised. Apparently, my dad had been dropping rather obvious hints here and there during the week before, but somehow I missed them all. :D
Speaking of my birthday, guess what's coming Wednesday, that my parents got for me? And iPod!! :D :D :D :D :D I'm so excited!! It's not one of those fancy touch-screens, but it's pretty darn sweet. It has a camera/video camera built in. I can't wait for Wednesday!! ;D
Someone else's birthday is in December...December 16th, to be exact. And that would be one of my favorite actresses, Miranda Otto. :)

Woot, yeah, pretty ladyy. <3
Btw, has anybody ever heard of or read any of Robin McKinley? I just heard about her...she sounds like a pretty awesome fantasy writer...but I was wondering if anybody had read any of her stuff, and if they liked her writing.
Pax,

=^D Hallo Lu! I am glad you got a surprise party; wish I could have been there. :-P Some year I am going to have to come up and surprise you for your birthday. MUWAHAHAH yeah. *smirk* Anyhoo, it seems to be 'the year' for surprise parties. If you can call Pip a surprise. *grin*
ReplyDeleteLove ya dearie!

Robin Mckinley is REALLY good--I read the Blue Sword and that WAS good. Although, she has a tendency to have like, super looooooong paragraphs that drone on and on. But otherwise, she rocks. ^^
ReplyDeleteLove ya,

Hey, taking a break and resting up after something like NaNo is okay - just don't let yourself "break" for too long. Writing is something (for me anyway) that I hate being away from - but the longer I'm away from it, the harder it is to get back into it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment in more detail but my brother is a despot. My brother who is half my age. Eepsh.
I have read two books by Robin McKinley, Beauty and Spindle's End, both retellings of fairytales. I liked Beauty more, but Spindle's end was cool too! I don't know about the rest of her books but those two are great fantasies.
