Just got back from watching Japanese director Hayao Myazaki's latest film
Ponyo. I grew up watching Myazaki's
Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro), so ever since then, I've had a love for his movies.
Ponyo is really magical. It's based on the tale of the Little Mermaid, with a spectacular Japanese twist. I liked it alot, and I think it will be much better when it comes out on DVD, and I can watch it without it being dubbed in English (always hate that).

(You can read the synopsis of
Ponyo by copying and pasting this link into your toolbar, as well as find links to more of Myazaki's movies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponyo)
I decided to also post some recent pictures of myself...most of them aren't too good, because I took those with my dad's phone, but hope you like them anyway. :) I "tweaked" most of 'em too... :D

Blessings!

Like the pics, especially the oldish looking one! And I read a review about Ponyo--sounds cute.
ReplyDeleteYou're participating in NaNoWriMo? Cool! Go for it, girl!
Ooh, I wanted to see that movie. I don't know when I will, though... Gotta see Up first! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I've read The Two Princesses of Bamarre. It's a good book- almost as good as Ella Enchanted, in some ways better. Anyway, I named Rhys in my story after Rhys the sorcerer, but he changed A LOT from the time I conceived of him and the time I wrote him, until he was far more an Aragorn-Dustfinger cross. I still named him after Rhys, because I happen to love Mrs. Levine's character- he's so funny. (Not much in common with Rhys after all, it would seem...)
Umm... I kept meaning to finally let you know. I've offically swithed blogs! I am no longer 1AspiringLilly! I am now, "NotJustAGirl" *Grins* Go check it out! I hope you like it!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You!
